Grey milky final drive oil after a fortnight parked in the river

Did about two weeks of bank stabilisation with the tracks sitting in water most of every day. Cracked the final drive plugs this morning and the oil came out grey and emulsified on both sides, left worse than the right.

Duo cone seals are the obvious culprit. What I cannot decide is whether to drain, refill and watch it, or just pull them straight away before a bearing lets go.

Do not gamble on a flush and refill. Milky oil means water has been sitting in there long enough to emulsify, so the bearing races are almost certainly already etching.

Pull both finals. Best case it is only the seals and you are down a day plus a couple of kits. Run it as is and you are looking at a complete final drive rebuild, which is a whole different invoice.

Second the vote to pull it. While you are underneath, pop the track roller oil too - if the finals drank water the rollers usually have as well.
