Every yard I have been in has one fella who greases the lot every morning and another who swears the manual interval is plenty. Both are dead certain the other one is wrong.

I started logging pin wear across our whole fleet. The early figures say the daily crowd have it right on the boom foot and are wasting their time nearly everywhere else.

That lines up with what I have seen. The high-load, low-movement joints want grease more often than the book says. Everything else is just money pumped onto the dirt.
