Picking up my first CTL for a small site-prep crew. It will mostly do finish grading, a bit of pallet work off the trailer and the odd mulching head.
Every salesman gives me a different story on vertical versus radial. What actually makes a difference on the job day to day?

Radial gives you better reach and feel down low, which is exactly what grading wants. Vertical is about lifting to height - into truck beds, stacking block.
You just said mostly grading with the occasional pallet. Buy the radial and live with being a bit clumsy at the trailer.
